Lincoln is our stunning, crazy, wonderful, 6 month old pit bull pup! We adopted sweet Lincoln Groot Horton from Fighting For The Bullys Pit Bull Rescue (FFTB) in Knoxville, Tennessee in March of this year. He was the tiny runt of his litter and we were in love the second Carla sent us a photo.
We brought him home and have had months of snuggles and play and love. He grew and changed so fast! He tested our patience, he was definitely an added responsibility, but he also changed our hearts. We are so in love with him and his breed and are incredibly passionate about educating those around us.
We encourage anyone who has horrible thoughts about pit bulls to get to know one. Stop crossing the street when you see one coming down the sidewalk. Stop avoiding that aisle in the pet store. Stop leaving the dog park because a pit bull walks in. Instead, try walking up to them and talking to their owner and loving on that baby. You most likely won't walk away still having negative feelings towards the breed. Their smiles, kisses, and love are incredible and that's what you will remember after spending time with a pit bull.
